    Angele Myrer was born on June 5th, 1896. She studied with Karl Knaths in Washington D.C. from 1940-1944. It was there that she first met artist, Ferol Warthen. Angele spent her summers in Provincetown, Massachusetts.

    After Warthen's husband died in 1949, she invited Ferol to come visit Provincetown, and they both studied with Blanche Lazzell from whom they learned the white line Provincetown printmaking technique in 1950. The two had adjoining studios at 77 Commercial Street in Provincetown's West End.

    She first exhibited at the Provincetown Art Association in 1938 and continued to exhibit her works there regularly until 1958. Angele also exhibited with the New York Society of Women Artists in 1945, 1947, 1949, and 1952 at the Riverside Museum and 1963 at the National Academy Galleries.

    Angele Myrer was represented by the Boris Mirski Gallery in Boston where she had solo exhibitions and was included in the first exchange exhibition with the Downtown Gallery, New York in 1947. She also showed at the New England Painting and Sculpture juried exhibition at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston in 1949.

    Angele had a two-artist exhibition with Ferol Warthen at the Smithsonian Division of Graphic Artists in 1956 and was included in the landmark Smithsonian exhibition, Provincetown Printers in 1983.

    Myrer died in 1970.

    Her work is included in the permanent collection of the Provincetown Art Association and Museum and numerous private collections.
