    Cross, Anson Kent (1862-1944)

    Cross, Anson Kent. Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, December 6th, 1862; son of George O. And Abigail (Brown) C.; Studied at the Massachusetts Normal Art School; married to Sarah Martin (1903). Exhibited in the Pennsylvania Acadademy of Fine Arts (Philadelphia.); St. Boltolph Club (Boston); Copley Soc. (Boston); and N.Y. Received Bronze Medal M.C. M. Ass’n (1892).

    Was awarded Bronze Medal M.C.M. Ass’n for artists’ easel in Boston (1887); and also at Paris Exposition (1900). Is author of several books and articles for the use of art teachers and students.
