    Denzel was a German artist who studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Stuttgart and later at the art academy in Munich. He returned to Stuttgart in 1910 and passed the drawing teacher exam. During World War I, he worked as a war painter on the western front from 1916 to 1918. Denzel was the head of the trade school and always cultivated painting. His landscape painting was influenced by Christian Landenberger.
