    Anton Friedrich Harms was born in 1695 in Braunschweig, Germany. He became a painter and stage designer, and also wrote about art. From 1737, he worked as a court painter and administrator of the picture gallery in the Salzdahlum palace under Duke Karl I of Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel. Harms created various artworks, including an altar sheet for the Brunswick Cathedral, architectural pieces, landscapes, and still lifes. He is known for his two wild still lifes from 1736 and 1744 in the Herzog Anton Ulrich Museum in Braunschweig. Harms died in Kassel in 1745....
