After returning from Italy, he settled in Warsaw in 1904. In addition to painting, he illustrated books and magazines. In 1910 he married Irena née Jezioranska. He wrote two novels, The Dream of Life (1906) and Stella (1910), and wrote and illustrated several children's books. In 1899 he completed his education at Stanislaw Grocholski's private school of painting in Munich. After graduation, he stayed in Italy in 1903-04. After returning from Italy, he settled in Warsaw in 1904. In addition to painting, he illustrated books and magazines. In 1910 he married Irena née Jezioranska. He wrote two novels, The Dream of Life (1906) and Stella (1910), and wrote and illustrated several children's books. After the Warsaw Uprising in 1944, he was displaced to Kamiensk, and in 1945 he settled in the village of Gluchy in the manor of Cyprian Kamil Norwid, which belonged to the Jezioranski family. He was buried in the cemetery in Niegowo.
