Born in 1904 in Warsaw, Antoni Grabarz was one of the most significant painters associated with the pre-war artistic group of the Brotherhood of St. Lukasz, under the patronage of Tadeusz Pruszkowski. The artistic credo of the group was the practice of painting oriented towards the forms of modern art, pure figured, stylized, traditional, valuable and closely related to the ideology of the sacralization of art.
