    Painter. Born in Montreal, Canada on Jan. 17, 1879, the son of artist Dominique Rosaire. Arthur Rozaire (né Rosaire) studied art with Canadian painters Wm Brymner, Maurice Cullen, and Edmond Dyonnet. He was elected to the Royal Canadian Academy and was well known in Canada before settling in Los Angeles in 1919. He died there of pneumonia on Feb. 26, 1922 at age 43. An Impressionist, Rozaire painted small, poetic landscapes of Canada and southern California.
