    Ben Coutouvidis, a contemporary artist, graduated with a fine arts degree in 1993 from Rhodes University, located in Makhanda (Grahamstown). In 1996, he was awarded the Raymond Pullen Scholarship for painting. Coutouvidis' artwork conveys a wide range of subjects, including still lives, landscapes, and everyday vignettes. They are often evocative, emotional, and nostalgic. Since 1993, Coutouvidis has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions nationwide. His work is held in private collections such as Spier, ABSA, Rhodes University, and Barclays International.
