    Beppe Devalle was born in Italy in 1940. The Turin-born painter and graphic artist studied stage decoration at the Accademia Albertina in his hometown.

    Later, he taught form theory and painting at the Accademia di Brera in Mailand. His oeuvre presents paintings, drawings, illustrations, photo montage, and others.

    Devalle was temporarily influenced by Paul Klee, and later by the US-American pop art. He illustrated the 'The Catcher in the Rye' written by Salinger .

    In the 1960's Devalle created large scale geometrical compositions until he dedicated himself to portraits and still life.
