    Brian Travers-Smith AAA, AWCS, CSPWC, FCA (1931)

    A western Canadian painter, educator and leader in the art community, Brian Travers-Smith (aka: Brian John Travers-Smith) was born in Tangshan, China and came to Canada in 1946. He has lived in Victoria, British Columbia since 1956. He served on the Board of Directors of the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, the Emily Carr University of Art and Design (Vancouver) and the Northwest Watercolor Society (Seattle). A painting of his is in the Royal Collection of HM Queen Elizabeth II (Windsor, England). (1)(2)
