    The German painter Bruno Richter was born in 1872 in Halle an der Saale. After studying in Leipzig, Weimar and Munich, he worked as an illustrator, architectural, landscape and genre painter. He achieved greater awareness as "one of the last German painters of the Orient".

    After the First World War, Bruno Richter focused on alpine painting and local landscapes. He repeatedly made hikes through the Alps, where he painted pure natural impressions with bright colours directly on his sketch pad. For these reasons, he preferred the watercolour. His works are characterized by originality and vivid freshness....
