    Cecile Augustine Bougourd was born in 1857. She was a French landscape painter, and pupil of her father Auguste. Starting in 1908, she became a member of the Société des Artistes Français.

    Among collections of 19th century paintings, the works of Auguste Bougourd (1830-1917) and his daughter (1857-1941) Cécile-Augustine belong to the category of little-known small masters.

    Both born in Pont-Audemer, Auguste Bougourd and his daughter left the town in the 1890s to settle in Nantes. Their subsequent moves took them further south to Tunisia, where they lived from 1900 to 1913.
