    Cadwallader Washburn (1866-1965) Lived: Minnesota and The World

    Etcher, painter who, during the 1920s, maintained studio homes in Morro Bay and Lone Pine.

    “Cadwallader Washburn, famous etcher, used the old Morro Bay schoolhouse as his studio. A series of his etchings were chosen by the French government and are now in the Louvre, Paris. Others of his etchings are in the Amsterdam Museum and British Museum.”
