    Carl Ludwig Noah Bantzer was a German painter, writer, and professor born in 1857 in Goat Grove. He studied at the Berlin Art Academy and later became a member of the Willingshausen painters' colony.

    Bantzer was known for his work in various mediums including oil, watercolor, and pastel. He was also a writer and a professor at the Dresden Art Academy and later became the director of the Kassel Art Academy.

    Bantzer died in 1941 in Marburg.
