    Caspar Walter Rauh waas born in 1912 in Würzburg, Germany.

    Rauh was a painter, draftsman, illustrator, graphic designer, architect and writer, a representative of Fantastic Realism.

    Rauh's childhood was spent in Bayreuth. Rauh studied from 1932 at the Dusseldorf Academy under Heinrich Nauen and Werner Heuser. From 1936 to 1937 he studied at the Academy Leipzig with Walter Tiemann.

    From 1937 Rauh worked in Berlin. During the years of 1945 to 1955 he was a resident of Himmelkron in upper Franconia. In 1955 he was in Kulmbach.

    Caspar Walter Rauh passed away in 1983 in Kulmbach.
