    Casto Plasencia trained at the Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando in Madrid thanks to the protection of the Marquis de la Vega de Armijo first and then the Count of San Bernardo, with which covers a good part of the Spanish geography. A pensioner in Rome in opposition, he won a first prize at the National Exhibition of 1878 with the monuments of history, Origin of the Republic (year 598 before the Christian era).

    Plasencia portrays the moment Lucrecia's body is presented to the people to incite revenge and rebellion against the tyrant. This same picture, but unfinished, had been part year earlier exposure of pensioners for which he received high praise. This same work attended...
