Charles Antonio Roka was born in Hungary, then settled in Norway in 1937. Roka exhibited in Madrid, Barcelona and Lausanne. In 1982 illness stopped him from working. Charles Roka (Károly Róka) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest and after studying travel in Europe, the travels finally took him to Norway where he settled in 1937. Charles Roka (Károly Róka) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest and after studying travel in Europe, the travels finally took him to Norway where he settled in 1937. Sometime in the early 1950s he made his first painting with a lightly dressed beauty as he had seen in Marseille a few years earlier.
