    Constantin Byzantios or Konstantinos Vyzantios was born in 1924 in Athens and began his studies near his father painter Periklis Byzantios, continuing with studies at the ASFA (1938-1942). With a scholarship from the French government he attended the Academies Julian and Grande Chaumier in Paris in 1946. Around 1960 he restricts and ultimately abandons figurative elements in favor of abstract painting.

    He has presented his work in many solo and group exhibitions, Paris, London, Antwerp, Geneva, Zurich, Panhellenic, Toulouse etc. His works are in the Museum of Modern Art in Paris, the Museum of the Olympic Games, Lausanne, Averoff Gallery, the Benaki Museum in North Museum etc.
