    Cornelis Mahu was born in 1613. He became a Flemish painter who because of his familiar relation with the Dutch art dealers has a great influence of Dutch painting. It is thought that he could be a pupil of Willem Claesz Heda since in his first period he copied works of this master. He was a very versatile painter. He painted marinas in the style of Bonaventura and Jean Peeters or Jan Porcellis, and stills and interior scenes in the Dutch style....
