  • Biography

    A painter, illustrator, muralist, sculptor, writer and lecturer, Dahlov Ipcar was born in Windsor, Vermont. She is the daughter of William and Marguerite Zorach and is known for her fantasy paintings of jungle animals as well as lithographs, tapestries, and soft sculptures. She has illustrated children's books including Little Fisherman and Just Like You, and is the author and illustrator of Animal Hide and Seek, One Horse Farm, and Brown Cow Farm.

    She studied at Oberlin College and exhibited widely including a solo exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in 1939, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Corcoran Gallery, and the Farnsworth Museum.
