    "Daniel Blagg doesn't travel far to find material. "Many of my subjects are within a few blocks of my studio," says the artist, whose warehouse workspace is in an industrial district in Fort Worth, TX. "I am drawn to neglected areas that are in a state of limbo. For me, they have an element of something that's very ordinary, very American."

    He is the twin brother of artist Dennis Blagg and brother of artists Woodrow and Doug Blagg.

    "Dan Blagg uses techniques of photo-realism to depict symbols of urban blight: abandoned buildings, derelict gas stations, and empty streets. Blagg tries to elevate the mundane. The imagery that Blagg uses is so familiar that one cannot help but be drawn in by these everyday scenes."&...
