    Artist's statement:
    "Painting is an expression of emotion through a spontaneous process in which I use color and light to transform what is ordinary to what becomes extraordinary. I am a spiritual expressionist."

    Born on September 11, 1952 in Elkhart, Indiana, he received his art education at the Interlochen Arts Academy, the Kansas City Art Institute, and the Boston Museum School of Fine Arts. He also was Artist-in-Residence at the Edna St. Vincent Millay Art Colony in Steepletop, New York in 1980.
