David Peretz is an artist from Bulgaria known for his rich and varied work in landscape, portrait, and still life genres. Born in Plovdiv, he later moved to Sofia where he graduated from the Art Academy. In the 1930s and 1940s, he, along with Zlatyu Boyadjiev and Vasil Barakov, traveled through the Rhodopes painting plein air landscapes. They were humorously referred to as "Baratsite."
