About DeWitt Clinton Hitchcock

  • Biography

Dewitt Clinton Hitchcock was a draftsman who worked in 1847-1850 in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1850-51 in Cincinnati, and again in Boston in 1852.

Investors backing canal and shipping ventures at the time were likely to have purchased, if not commissioned, pictures of the local scenery.
