He was known for successfully transmitting the style of Yuan Dynasty masters and was considered a rival of Wang Hui. Huang Ding's style was in the style of Huang Gongwang, and this lot is adapted from a work attributed to Huang Gongwang that was copied as the sixteenth leaf of Xiao Zhong Xian Da...
