    Donald Alvin Jarvis RCA, CGP, BCSA, FCA (1923 - 2001)

    Don Jarvis was a painter and educator who was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; and lived there most of his life. He died in Sechelt, B.C. (about 40 minutes by ferry from Vancouver).

    His mediums were oil, watercolour, acrylic, and mixed mediums. His subjects are; abstracts, west coast landscapes (especially forests), urban life (people and buildings), social commentary, the human situation and figures. His styles are abstract expressionism, lyrical abstraction, semi abstraction, expressionism, fauvism and realism.
