    Dorota Buzkowska seems to consistently draw from the tradition of matter painting rooted in visual similarities to the world of biological matter. The artistic language of Buczkowska, the use of forms taken from nature and characterized by primal sensualism, seems to create an organic dialogue with artists who previously belonged to the canon of matter painting and Polish art of the 20th century, such as Erna Rosenstein, whose color palette seems to be the starting point for Buczkowska. The peculiar sensualism of mostly warm shades of pink and gray also evokes associations with sculptures and watercolor sketches by Alina Szapocznikow.
