    Studies at the École d'Art in La-Chaux-de-Fonds, 1901-05

    In Paris and visit to the Académie Julian and École des Beaux Arts, acquaintance with Paris Auguste Rodin and Henri Matisse, working as a press illustrator from 1903, first poster designs in 1905, working in Geneva from 1907, repeatedly residing in Paris from 1920-24 and working for Atar, 1926 studio fire, 1933 trip to Algeria,
