    The following, submitted August 2005, is from the artist.

    Edward Donald Storms was born in Brady, Texas in 1924. Hewas a fighter pilot in the U.S. Air Force and flew over Germany in WWII. He attended Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas, and soon became an award-winning photographer.

    He then moved into the field of contemporary art, first as a painter and then as a sculptor. In 1961 he began an apprenticeship with Fort Worth sculptor Charles Williams.

    1965 Pearl Brewing Company Sculpture Award, Austin, Texas
    1965 Rex J. Howard Sculpture Award, 28th Annual Exhibition of Tarrant County, Fort Worth, Tx.
