    Enric Casanovas was a Spanish sculptor who trained under Josep Llimona and attended La Lonja School in Barcelona. He traveled to Paris in 1900 and exhibited his work at Els Quatre Gats upon his return. He spent time between Paris and Barcelona from 1904 to 1913, where he was in contact with artists such as Picasso, Maillol, and Gargallo. Casanovas was awarded the gold medal at the Universal Exhibition in Barcelona in 1929 and was represented in various museums, including the National Art Museum of Catalonia and the MACBA in Barcelona. He died in 1959.
