Eric Hallström is considered one of the main representatives of Swedish naivety. He made his debut in 1917. With his painting he told me about memories from the outskirts of Stockholm and he worked for a long time on the same motif. Through Pelle Molin’s “Poetry of Ådalen” he came into contact with Ångermanland where he traveled to experience the dark forests, the undulating horizon, the mighty rivers and timber rafting, which then took shape in his Stockholm studio.
