    Erich Hauser (1930-2004)

    He initially trained as a steel engraver. He then studied at the art school in Stuttgart, where he attended the sculpture class. Since 1952, Hauser worked as a sculptor and artist. He was inspired by Picasso's sculptures but also by the contemporary Informel painting.

    From 1962 onwards Hauser primarily used industrially prefabricated steel plates for his hollow sculptures in which he explored basic geometric forms. Later, he started exploring spatial height with his columns. Since the seventies, the artist has created numerous works for public spaces. Hauser participated in documenta in Kassel several times, followed by his artistic breakthrough. In 1969 ...
