By the late 1920's, his works were purchased by the Bavarian State Paint Collection and the Municipal Gallery. Under the Third Reich, Erich was banned from exhibiting. Erich's rather sketchy style shows landscapes, still life and portraits. From 1951 to 1964, Erich Glette held a professorship at the Munich Academy. He was also a member of the Bavarian Academy of Fine Arts in 1959. Erich Glette died in 1980, in Prien am Chiemsee, Germany.
