    Erich Hartmann was a landscape and figure painter from Germany. He studied at the Düsseldorf and Munich academies under E. von Gebhardt and P. von Halm. Hartmann was a member of the Hamburg secession and the Deutscher Künstlerbund. Later in his career, he became a professor in Hamburg. His works can be found in museums such as Altonaer Museum and Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe in Hamburg, as well as in Bremen, Schleswig, Hannover, and Wuppertal.
