    A distinguished Canadian painter, printmaker, draftsman, illustrator, commercial artist, sculptor, muralist and educator, Ernest Lindner (AKA: E. Lindner) was born in Vienna, Austria and died in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan where he had lived since 1926. Lindner was an influential teacher and leader in the art community; he was a member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts*, the Canada Council for the Arts, and an Officer of the Order of Canada*.
