    Forced into exile from Nazi occupied Austria at the age of eighteen, Eisenmayer was granted admission to Britain in April 1939 to take up a trainee post in an ironworks in Oxford. With the British retreat from Dunkirk in 1940 and the fear of a German fifth column in Britain, Eisenmayer was interned on 25 June as an enemy alien. Released on 7 August 1941, Eisenmayer moved to London and later studied at Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts in 1947, where his teachers included Victor Pasmore.

    Eisenmayer has exhibited widely, including at the Royal Academy, London, Marjorie Parr Gallery, London, La Boetie Gallery, New York and Sculptors Collective, Amsterdam. Solo exhibitions include: the Ben Uri Gallery, London (1962)...
