    Ernst Philipp von Bernuth (born June 6, 1833 on Haus Aspel in Haldern, † December 30, 1923 in Dusseldorf) was a German officer and landscape painter of the Dusseldorf school.

    Born the son of the Prussian district council of Rees Friedrich Heinrich von Bernuth (1789-1859) and Johanna van den Broek (1802-1845) - the brother Julius von Bernuth (1830-1902) became professor and director of the Conservatory in Hamburg - decided Ernst von Bernuth after attending grammar school in Wesel first for the officer career.
