    Childhood years in Basel, from 1895, the family moved to the birthplace of the mother, Wiesbaden, from 1906 to 1908 at the Grand Ducal Baden Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe with Gustav Schoenleber and Julius Hugo Bergmann, of the latter, the master class, in 1908 the first sales exhibition of the artist scholarship in Rome, participating as a combat soldier in the first world war,1918 Head of the museum Au Pauvre Diable in Maubeuge, with looted art from the Musée Antoine Lécuyer in Saint-Quentin, turning to Nazi art, participate in the Great German Art Exhibition in Munich.
