    The Upper Austrian artist Erwin Reiter first attended the Holzfachschule Hallstatt and then studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna under Fritz Wotruba. In 1973 Reiter became professor for sculpture at the Academy of Design in Linz, where he led the master class until his retirement in 2001.

    Erwin Reiter’s sculptures, which usually consist of chrome-nickel steel, show their own form language consisting of rhythmically intricate waveforms. Many of his works can be found in public spaces, such as ‘Strömung’, which is located in Linz on the Danube riverbank since 1977. (fea)
