About Eszter Mattioni

    Eszter Mattioni studied at the Applied Arts Vocational School, then continued her studies at the High School of Fine Arts under professor Gyula Rudnay. Between 1931 and 1942 she worked with the Szolnok group of artists and made study trips to Italy in 1935 and Scandinavia.

    Her painting titled PEASANT BRIDE was acquired by the Louvre and exhibited at the Museum du Luxembourg as early as 1937. In 1946 she became Member of the Pal Szinyei Merse Society of Hungarian painters.
