About Eugen Henziross

    Eugen Henziross was born on June 24, 1877 in Niederbuchsiten, Solothurn and died on June 13, 1961 in Bern. He worked as a painter, graphic artist, illustrator and art teacher in Bern. Henziross studied at the academy of applied arts in Basel and at the Technikum Winterthur.

    He designed posters and illustrations for pamphlets – the ‘Basler Fliegenden Blätter’; ‘Die Schweiz’ and ‘Jugendborn’. He taught at the municipal art school from 1908 to 1921 and also at the academy of applied arts in Bern.
