    Ezekiel Baroukh (also Yehezkel Baruch) was a member of the Surrealist group Art and Liberty, founded in Egypt in 1938. He settled in France in 1946, where he established himself as an abstract painter. Baroukh studied in Paris at the academy of André Lhote, a key figure associated with Cubism.

    A work by Baruch was exhibited at the Venice Biennale in 2024. His works are held in the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris; the Fonds National d’Art Contemporain (FNAC), France; the Musée d’Art Moderne, Châteauroux; and in Egypt at the Musée National d’Art Moderne, Cairo, and the Musée des Beaux-Arts, Alexandria.
