    Falcao Trigoso was a Portuguese artist who was a disciple of Carlos Reis, Veloso Salgado, and Simões de Almeida. He was passionate about the scenic beauty of the Algarve and painted the Algarve coast and the spectacle of almond trees in bloom in vivid and luminous tones. He was a supporter of air-bookism and was a member of the Silva Porto Group, headed by Carlos Reis. He exhibited frequently and obtained several awards, including the medal of honor from the National Society of Fine Arts in 1948 and the 1st Prize Silva Porto in 1954.
