    Fiodor Zakharovich Zakharov was a Ukrainian Soviet painter celebrated for his lyrical landscapes and expressive brushwork. He is widely recognized as a leading figure of Soviet Impressionism, known for his ability to capture atmosphere and light with poetic sensitivity.

    Zakharov studied at the Moscow Higher Art and Industrial School named after M.I. Kalinin from 1935 to 1941, and later at the Moscow State Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov from 1943 to 1950. His mentors included A.V. Lentulov, I.I. Chekmazov, and G.G. Ryazhsky, under whose guidance he completed his thesis painting Razin.
