Huang Fong's paintings take us to Balinese life that is quiet and peaceful.

Huang Fong was born in Banyuwangi, East Java, on April 14, 1936. He was never formally educated in the arts. He just learned painting techniques from some painters directly. During his career he has held many exhibitions in Indonesia and abroad.

In celebrating his birthday in 2013, Huang Fong held a solo exhibition at the National Gallery, Jakarta, titled "Pikiran, Tubuh dan Jiwa: 77 Tahun Huiang Fong" (Mind, Body and Spirit: Huang Fong in 77 years old). As many as 77 of his works were presented here and they were all about Bali.
