François Boucheix was born in 1940 in an isolated farm in the heart of Auvergne. At fifteen, following the death of his father, which marked him deeply, François was forced to leave school to work. Very quickly, he devoted his free time to painting, until late at night, and developed a passion for surrealist painters. In 1960, conscript, he took with him canvases and brushes to Tunisia.
