    Francesco De Mura was born in 1696 in Naples. He was the favorite student of Francesco Solimena and the main interpreter of the Rococo 'Naples during the reign of Charles of Bourbon'. Graceful and idealistically devoid of dramatic tension in accordance with the culture of the time, Mura's art expresses a classicism modulated, which led him to create images with a skillful chiaroscuro figures in solemn attitudes that enhance the severe and monumental spirituality. The elegant pleasantness of his creations stems from graphics and colors layouts designed to evoke vitality and movement, especially when facing large surfaces.
