    Francesco Lo Savio (Rome, 1935 - Marseille, 1963), an Italian artist, focused his production in a very limited period of time (1959-63). He began within an informal scope, which he quickly exceeded in favour of a research aimed at coinciding, anti-illusionistically, the virtual space with real space.

    He then created a series of monochrome paintings, in which the variation of luminosity of colour defined the structure of the surface and placed it in continuity with the environmental space as in the Space - Light, and in Filters, focusing on the radiating power of colour and played on the relationships between the basic shapes of square and circle.
