François Avril, born 14 May 1961 in Paris, is a cartoonist, illustrator and author of comic French. A graduate of the National School of Applied Arts and Crafts Art where he graduated valedictorian in 1984, he began his career as an illustrator for magazines, advertising and publishing.

In the beginning he made a few comic books but that wanted to do it again any album will come out after the 1980s. The only inroads it makes in this area after 1990 are a few boards in albums or advertising group.

In collaboration with writers, he has illustrated several children's books, often pre-published in magazines such as Astrapi and I bouquine. He also has many prints and limited edition portfolios.
