    Born Oketo, May 27, 1886; died Dobbs Ferry, NY, Oct. 1, 1964. Painter. Cartoonist. Animator. Illustrator. Teacher. Studied at Cumming School of Art, Des Moines, IA; Art Students League; National Academy of Design. Was a pupil of Albert Reid. An associate of Paul Terry, together they founded TerryToons in 1929 and developed animated features distributed by Fox Pictures. Lived in Hastings on Hudson, NY.
